Home workouts â The training that actually gets done đĄđȘ
Have you heard the phrase âall exercise is good exerciseâ?
Thereâs actually a lot of truth in that. No matter what type of training you do, it contributes to better health, more energy, and improved well-being âš
Thatâs exactly why we at Livity have created lots of training programs and workouts that you can do at home. When you work out at home, the barrier to getting started becomes much smallerâyou donât need advanced equipment, you donât have to go anywhere, and you donât have to fit a specific schedule.
You can simply start working out right away, exactly as you are đ€
But can you actually get results from working out at home? đ€
This is a question I hear often. Many people think home workouts donât produce resultsâbut thatâs actually a myth.
You can absolutely challenge yourself at home, in many different ways.
One type of training I personally love is PLYO (plyometric training) đ„ Itâs an intense form of exercise that is often done using only body weight and explosive movements. And I can promise youâit can be really tough.
If you train plyometrically on a regular basis, you can:
build strength and muscle mass đȘ
improve your explosiveness âĄ
boost your cardio fitness and endurance đ«
strengthen your body and become more athletic đââïž
And all of this can be done at home in your living room using just your body weight. Sounds pretty amazing, right? âš
Other types of training you can easily do at home
đ§ââïž Pilates
Pilates is perfect if you want to strengthen your body in a gentle yet effective way. The focus is on core strength, control, and stability. Regular Pilates training can improve your posture, strengthen your core, and reduce the risk of injury. Many people also find that Pilates helps reduce stress and increase body awareness.
đââïž Running
Running is one of the most accessible forms of exercise there isâyou really only need a pair of shoes. Itâs fantastic for cardiovascular fitness, strengthens the heart, and improves endurance. Running can also be a great way to get fresh air, clear your mind, and get a mental boost đż
đïžââïž Strength training at home
Strength training doesnât have to mean a fully equipped gym. With a pair of dumbbellsâor even with items you already have at homeâyou can build strength and muscle. Strength training not only strengthens muscles but also joints and bones, improves posture, and makes the body more resilient in everyday life.
â€ïž At Livity, youâll find programs within all of these types of training.
đș We also offer follow-along workouts, where you can easily start a session on your TV at home and train together with our coaches âš Perfect when you want guidance, structure, and a little extra motivation during your workout.
5 simple tips to make home workouts happen
1. Choose workouts you actually enjoy đ
When exercise feels fun, it becomes much easier to stick to the routine.
2. Have a plan đ
Follow a training program so you always know what to do. It reduces the risk of postponing the workoutâor skipping it altogether.
3. Work out before the couch calls đïž
Once youâve settled into the couch after a long day, itâs easy to stay there. Try to work out before you sit down for the evening.
4. Lower the threshold â±ïž
Decide to work out for just 10â15 minutes. Often, once youâve started, youâll want to keep going.
5. Create a routine đ
Try to work out on the same days and at the same times every week. When exercise becomes a habit, you no longer have to negotiate with your motivation.
