When the pandemic hit, Anna Stålnacke noticed a growing problem: training became more difficult, and many couldn’t afford personal coaching. The solution? Livity – an app that makes health simple, affordable, and accessible to everyone.

In addition to being the founder of the nutrition and training app Livity, she also runs a successful gym chain. She is passionate about nutrition and fitness, which shows in her work. “Helping people lead a healthier everyday life is my greatest driving force. As an experienced personal trainer and online coach, she has helped thousands of women find a sustainable path to a stronger and healthier body.

During the pandemic, Anna faced challenges like the rest of Sweden’s entrepreneurs – it became harder to work on the gym floor as before. At the same time, she realized that personal coaching, both in person and online, was an expensive investment that not everyone could afford. She wanted to make it possible for more people to access professional coaching without it costing a fortune. She also saw a growing need for home training, as many could no longer or didn’t want to go to the gym. A solution was needed – something accessible and affordable.

During the pandemic, Anna and her partner began working intensively with a development team to create an app that could replace the need for a physical coach. They worked day and night to fill the app with educational content, recipes, meal plans, and training programs – all to create a holistic solution for women who wanted to take control of their health.

After more than a year of hard work, the app was launched, and the response was incredible. Today, four years later, Anna runs the app completely independently, without external help. Instead of collaborating with an external company, she now has a growing team of full-time employees dedicated to developing the app’s functionality and content.

“For me, it has been crucial to ensure that all information in the app is verified by me and my team. Unlike many other apps, where users can input nutritional information themselves and share it with others, we make sure that all data is accurate and quality-checked. It’s important that our users can trust that the numbers and recommendations they receive in the app are correct. If the information isn’t verified, there’s a high risk it could be inaccurate, which could negatively impact the user’s results,” says Anna.

To make it as smooth as possible for users, the team carefully reviewed thousands of food items, calculated exact portion sizes, and created serving suggestions. No one should have to weigh everything they eat – the app makes it simple by having all the information already in place. Having a slice of toast? You can easily find your favorite brand, its exact weight, and nutritional content directly in the app.

In addition to nutrition, Livity has developed training programs to suit all needs and preferences. To provide extra support, Livity offers a chat directly in the app, where users can get guidance and help from the team if they feel unsure or have questions about their training and diet. All exercises come with clear descriptions and instructional videos to ensure correct execution, whether you’re a beginner or experienced.

The workout plans are tailored for all levels – from those just starting out to those aiming to run a marathon or develop their strength training. Whether you want to train at home, are pregnant, focused on running, or love Pilates – there’s a plan for you.
